This latest project presents a calm, measured approach to modern living where simplicity does the heavy lifting. The design is defined by its restraint. Soft, handleless cabinetry in a muted, almost architectural white forms a continuous plane along the back wall, allowing the room to breathe. It does not demand attention. Instead, it frames the space, giving prominence to light, proportion and material.
At the centre, a sculptural island takes on both functional and social roles. Its waterfall edges, formed from gently veined stone, introduce a subtle movement across an otherwise minimal palette. Timber bar stools line the island, bringing warmth and texture into the scheme. Their woven seats and natural tones sit comfortably against the cooler whites and greys, creating a balance that feels considered rather than styled.
The connection to the outside is handled with equal care. Expansive glazing draws the garden into view, allowing daylight to spill across the pale oak flooring and into every corner of the room. This natural light becomes an essential part of the design, softening the edges of the cabinetry and highlighting the clean lines of the space. Beyond the kitchen, the open plan arrangement flows effortlessly into a relaxed living area, where the same palette continues, uninterrupted and cohesive.
The specification reflects a careful commitment to both performance and longevity. Blanco Subline Silgranit sinks in white have been selected for both the main and preparation areas, offering durability alongside a seamless visual integration with the work surfaces. A Quooker tap system with an integrated cold water filter introduces a layer of everyday convenience, streamlining daily use while maintaining a clean aesthetic. The worktops themselves are formed from premium Dekton by Cosentino and porcelain, finished with a 30mm built-up edge that gives the island and surfaces a reassuring sense of substance without appearing heavy.
At its core, the kitchen is equipped with a suite of Siemens Home studioLine and iQ500 appliances, chosen for their precision and reliability. A multifunction single oven and compact combination microwave oven sit alongside a warming drawer, each element designed to support a more intuitive way of cooking. The flex induction hob with integrated ventilation becomes a focal point, offering a seamless solution where extraction and cooking are combined into one clean surface. Features such as Home Connect and sensor-controlled cooking introduce a level of intelligence that sits quietly beneath the surface. A fully integrated dishwasher, carefully considered storage solutions and refined cabinetry complete the composition, resulting in a kitchen that feels not only contemporary, but enduring.
