MR & MRS D

Bathed in natural light and quietly poised between form and function, this latest project is a study in architectural clarity. The open-plan kitchen exudes a quiet elegance, where clean lines and muted tones balance bold modernism with effortless warmth. A statement-making island clad in Dekton Opera Natural, with its delicate marbled detailing, becomes the sculptural heart of the space. The graphite handleless cabinetry offers both sophistication and symmetry, drawing the eye toward integrated Miele appliances. Pendant lighting hovers above like punctuation in the room’s visual narrative, while floor-to-ceiling doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, allowing the surrounding landscape to play an active role in the atmosphere within. In addition to the kitchen space, tucked away in a quiet corner of a modern home is a newly completed office study. There is a sense of calm control to the space, where thoughtful materials and light interact with purpose. Deep navy cabinetry stretches the length of the room, paired with natural oak accents that break up the darker tones and introduce a subtle softness. The layout is functional but never rigid, with open shelving offering a nod to personal character while maintaining the room’s tidy, composed aesthetic. Natural light pours through the large window, enhancing the tonal contrast of deep blue and oak.

Specification-wise, the kitchen is fitted with Graphite Handleless cabinetry, while the Dekton Opera worktops introduce a refined, stone-like texture with the durability to match. The stainless steel Andano sink is paired perfectly with a Quooker Flex tap, delivering instant boiling water with minimal fuss. All appliances are by Miele, ensuring premium performance throughout. In contrast, yet complementary in tone, the home study features Daval’s Marine Blue units, paired with Classic Oak carcasses. It’s a space that encourages deep focus while echoing the design language of the kitchen through its calming palette, timber warmth, and clean-lined utility.
